Suzy Hite, RN, brings more than 25 years of nursing experience to Cross Capital Health, with a career rooted in emergency and trauma care, patient advocacy, education, and a deep commitment to helping patients and their families navigate complex healthcare needs.

A graduate of Georgetown University School of Nursing in 1999, Suzy spent the majority of her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Suburban Hospital, caring for patients with a wide range of complex, urgent, and often life-threatening medical needs and conditions. Working in a fast-paced emergency setting, Suzy was able to develop strong clinical judgement, communication, and critical thinking skills while providing compassionate care to those who needed it most.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Suzy played an important role in the education of other healthcare professionals. During her time at Georgetown, she taught Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) to resident physicians. Her clinical background also includes several years working in cardiology, further broadening her knowledge of complex medical conditions and the care of patients with critical and ongoing healthcare needs.

Throughout her nursing career, Suzy has earned advanced education and certifications including Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). These certifications reflect her commitment to maintaining a high level of clinical knowledge and providing safe, evidence-based care to patients across a variety of age groups and settings.

Today, Suzy continues to work in nursing as a substitute school nurse at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and The Academy of the Holy Cross. Her continued involvement in the healthcare field allows her to remain connected to patient care while bringing her extensive experience to a new generation of patients and families.

After years of helping patients and families navigate healthcare both professionally and personally, Suzy co-founded Cross Capital Health with a simple goal: to give individuals and families a knowledgeable, trusted nurse they can turn to when they need guidance. Whether helping someone understand medications and lab results, prepare for a physician visit, coordinate care, or helping an adult child manage the healthcare needs of an aging parent, Suzy brings clinical experience, compassion, and clear communication to every client relationship. Her approach is personal and individualized, taking the time to understand each client’s needs, concerns, and goals.
